Submit Your Petition for an H-1B Visa by April 1, 2013

On April 1st, 2013, the USCIS will begin accepting H-1B visa petitions for FY 2014.  The H-1B status permits temporary employment (up to 6 years) in the U.S. for people who have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the same or a related field as the job offered. The employer must submit a petition to the USCIS for approval of the H-1B position. Petitions are approved on a first come, first serve basis.   It should be noted that your petition will be denied if you do not provide sufficient evidence that the qualifying employer-employee relationship will exist for any time period.

There is an annual numerical limit cap of visas each fiscal year, so due to the limited numbers of H-1B visas available it is recommended that all petitions for FY 2014 are submitted no later than April 1st, 2013.  If you are interested in submitting a petition for an H-1B visa, please contact one of our South Florida immigrations attorneys at LOIGICA., P.A. to receive legal guidance in the petitioning process.
